Ceramic structured packing in corrugated chemical filling of chemical packing for distillation tower
1. Description
Ceramic structured packing is a new type of structured packing, which is composed of
packing units with the same geometry. Due to the unique structure of ceramics, with good
hydrophilic properties, its surface can form a very thin liquid film turbulence and the flow of the
inclined and tortuous channel can promote the flow but it does not block the flow of the ceramic
filler ,
In term of the corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance, the metal filler is not
comparable. The surface structure has good wetting performance, which can accelerate the flow
of liquid and minimize the amount of stagnant liquid in the packing. This reduces the chance of
overheating, polymerization and coking.
This product is made of high quality chemical raw material of porcelain clay, which can
withstand high temperature and high pressure, It has good chemical stability and high strength,
and is an ideal carrier for supporting various types of catalysts.

1) Rectifying organic halide.
2) Rectifying and absorbing some corrosive mixtures, which are definitely regulated in pressure
drop and theoretic plate number.
3) Applied in some towers that contain a large quantity of natural media used to absorb nitric
acid and concentrated sulfuric acid, as well as for purifying the air in chemical plants.
4) Operating in vacuum conditions at a bottom absolute pressure of 100pa.
5) Used in heat exchanger and demisting, or as a catalyst carrier.
4.Feature
1) High capacity. New tower design may reduce diameter, while renovate old towers may
increase capacity significantly.
2) High separation efficiency. Since it has much larger specific surface area compared to random
packing.
3) Low pressure drop, which leads to reduce energy consumption largely.
4) Large flexibility, and scale effect is not obvious.
