Pall ring is the offshoot of raschig ring, the improvement was made by BASF (Badische Aniline Soda Fabric) Aktiengesellschaft in the early 1950s. Pall ring is a hollow cylindrical element of dia equal to its length while ten fingers punched from the cylinder wall extend into the interior of the packing element.
Although the pall ring has the same geometric surface area as the Raschig ring, the interior surfaces of the pall ring are much more accessible to gas and liquid flows due to the opening thru the wall.
Features: Low pressure drop, high flux, high efficiency.
Materials: Stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, 340L, 316L, steel, carbon steel etc.
Plastic tower packing are made from polyethylene(PE), polypropylene(PP), reinforced polypropylene(RPP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), chlorinated polyvinyl chloride(CPVC)and polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF),
Characters : strong resistance to chemical corrosion, large void space and fluid capacity, low pressure drop, energy saving, low operation cost, light in weight and easy to be load and unload, and reusable.
Application : stripping, absorbing and washing in low temperature of 60-150 in the tower in chemical, petrochemical, alkali chloride, coal gas and environmental protection industries.
